Yarn, colour & stitch development We work with all the well known yarn spinners in Italy, China and the UK using a variety of yarns including a wide range of eco and sustainable qualities. We have an extensive yarn resource in our studio and can source specific yarns upon request. Our designer/programmer can develop innovative ideas in our in-house factory Stoll multi gauge knitting machine enabling ideas to be realised quickly and efficiently to avoid unnecessary delays and is a more sustainable approach to design development.
Studio development Our talented design team with their creative flair and commercial understanding can work on all areas of product development from sketch, stitch development, cad and specs through to production. We can offer a flexible bespoke service taking into account all your requirements. We work with many established retailers and brands from high end luxury through to high street brands.
Factories We have long standing working relationships with many established knitwear manufacturers around the world to accommodate all markets. Factories are based in the U.K., Italy, Romania, Tunisia and China. We work with a wide range of eco and sustainable yarns.
Bespoke We can also produce bespoke one off samples if required. We have designed and produced catwalk samples and collections for designers at London fashion week and London collections men.
Susan Hewett is an alumna of Central St Martins, where she studied an M.A. in Fashion knitwear.
She is a highly regarded creative with over 20 years of fashion industry experience, including 8 years at executive management level. Sue has a strong innovative vision and design aesthetic, with a proven history of inspiring and leading teams to deliver over and above.
Sue's early design years were spent in New York, working as a knitwear designer for various global brands and independent boutiques across both womenswear and menswear.
After returning from the U.S. she worked for Arcadia for many years. Eight of these were spent heading up the Topman design team, working on diverse new product ranges, designer collaborations and high profile catwalk collections.
Sue has an extensive understanding of the global fashion market and an in-depth knowledge of knitwear. She is able to adapt her style for both the commercial and high end market.
Alongside the HewettCox consultancy, Sue is also establishing her sustainable luxury knitwear brand, Sillan.
